CareForce is designed to help you experience healthcare the way you want it to be delivered, not on terms dictated by insurance companies or large health care systems. Insurance companies have certain requirements that do not always fit the exact needs for individualized care. Although we do not accept insurance for the Medically Assisted Treatment program, we do however accept insurance for individual counseling and some assessments.

Every patient is different. We usually expect most patients to be seen 7-14 days for their follow up. Follow up appointments will take less time than the initial visit. Patients who qualify for a maintenance plan will be seen every 14 to 28 days. For patients who require more counseling will be seen either weekly or biweekly until they graduate to a 28 day maintenance plan.

Suboxone is an addiction medication available by prescription. It is designed to treat individuals suffering from opioid use disorder. It works by eliminating the excruciating symptoms of withdraw and minimizing the intense cravings associated with opioid dependency. Once a client is stabilized on this medication, they can immediately start making changes that support a recovery lifestyle. With these symptoms medically managed patients are equipped to make better choices about their health and begin to stabilize their lives.

This is a decision left to the individual and their treatment team. Some choose to come off the medication as quickly as possible, while others choose to find a maintenance dosage and stay on the medication long-term. There is no right or wrong choice. CareForce will never pressure our clients to change their dosage or end their Suboxone therapy prematurely. Just as seeking out treatment needs to be an individual choice, so too is the decision of when to tapper off the medication.

Ending Suboxone therapy abruptly, or trying to go, “cold turkey” off the medication will eventually lead to unpleasant withdraw symptoms. When you are ready to change dosage or stop the medication, your treatment team will create a slow taper schedule, along with additional medications and support to make this process manageable.
